Rites of Passages
Throughout history, cultures have required their boys to undertake a special rite of passage that affirms their place in the community of men. These rites often consisted of trials or challenges that boys had to be trained for and face, requiring necessary skills to help the tribe they were a part of. However, this important tool has been lost in our modern culture, and it is time we take it back in order to help promote and train the next generation of boys to become strong and capable men. By reviving these rites of passage, we can help boys to develop the confidence, discipline, and skills needed to succeed in their communities and in the world.
Fishing, Cornhole, Ping Pong, Frisbee Golf, and much more!
Utilize our three ceremonies as a "coming of age" tool to help train and affirm your son.
Apprenticeship opportunities to help your boys become more competent and skilled.
Time of fellowship and worship with a community of men through both praise and action.
Jacob Smith, Dad
The Tabernacle retreat gave my son and me a very unique experience to spend a weekend away together. I work from home and already “spend a lot of time” with him. However, the Tabernacle retreat provided the opportunity for me to unplug from work and have an intentional time of making memories with him. We very much enjoyed being out in God’s creation doing activities with other fathers/sons in an environment we haven’t experienced before. This event also served as a time to remind me where my boy is in his journey to becoming the man God made him to be. What an encouraging and inspirational event. I look forward to next year!
Jeff Davis, Grandpa
Great opportunity to connect and pour into the lives of young boys that are hungry to be embraced and mentored by men as they begin their faith journey.
