Why we make them

Something is going to get stuck in his head. Make it the truth.

Music is good. God made it for worship. It's also powerful, and it's neutral: in the right hands it points a boy to Christ, and in the wrong hands it teaches him to believe a lie.

It sticks for life.

You can still sing a song you haven't heard in thirty years. Music works its way past our defenses and stays there. Start a line in a room full of strangers and they'll finish it for you.

He is what he consumes.

"Be careful what you hear" (Mark 4:24). What goes in through his ears feeds his soul, the same as what goes in his mouth feeds his body. Garbage in, garbage out. Truth in, truth out.

The world already knows this.

Ben spent years as an Army psychological operations officer. Influence campaigns pay artists to write songs that change what people believe. If music can sell a lie, it can tell a boy the truth.

“The tongue has the power of life and death.”Proverbs 18:21 · that goes for the words he sings, too

A song written for your son

His name. His character. Who God is calling him to be.

Tell us about your son, and we'll write a song around him: an affirmation he'll ask for at bedtime and sing in the car, built on the truth you want him to carry.

  • Affirmation songs that speak who he is in Christ
  • Scripture memory songs for the verses you want him to keep
  • Lullabies for the little ones
